Acquired by Ciox Health, subsequently merged with Datavant, Medal creates a globally accessible and useful record of health through the development of a Health-IT platform to replace fax-based workflows. Their core product is a virtual printer, Print 2 Medal. When a medical or data record gets transmitted using Medal, it automatically creates a HIPAA audit log. Data is sent via Secure FTP and the platform allows for the universal transportation, extraction, reading, storing, and managing of queries.
